If I could give this office a negative rating I would, but I am required to give at least 1 star.
I completed a one-way rental for a moving truck from a Budget location in Baltimore and scheduled the drop-off in Frederick. After refueling at the Costco which is approx. 1.5 miles from the Budget office I then parked the truck and dropped off the keys. After reviewing my bank statement I saw multiple charges from Budget.
Apparently the Frederick office decided that my full tank of fuel - 1.5 gallons required a refueling fee of $30, in addition I was charged a $10 key drop off fee, because they were closed.
If you must do business with this Budget make sure you show while they are open, as of 4:30pm on a Wednesday they're already closed, and make sure to bring a small gas can to refuel should you not be able to teleport your moving van from the gas station to the Budget office.

If you like liars, mis-leading office staff, and horrible customer service, then this is the place for you. I never ever write reviews but this place was so bad and so misleading I felt compelled to do so! These guys are the definition of wolves in sheep skin. Please do yourself a favor and never, ever, under any circumstance, EVER rent from these guys. They don't deserve your business and you will save yourself time, money, and peace of mind.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!! I reserved a truck from them online and based on my estimated trip of 20 miles and using the truck from 9 am to 9 pm, it said my bill would be $57. When I arrived at the shop, the guy was extremely rude when I told him I did not want to add the insurance. I had a bad feeling from the beginning about the place but was moving that day and really needed the truck. He charged me $150 deposit, which is understandable, but he didn't even tell me about it. He just took my card and swiped it after I was under the impression my card would be charged $57. I called today to follow up on getting my deposit back and was told my total bill is $100 (not the quoted $57 even though I actually used less than the estimated 20 miles). They added so many additional fees, which were not discussed at the beginning. I was charged a fee (I think it was $35) for droppoing it off "after hours ( I dropped it off at 6:30 PM- earlier than I had put on the reservation)" although they have a sign up that says "we welcome after hours drop offs." They give you the impression it is ok to drop off the truck anytime and just put the keys in the drop box- what they don't tell you is that they will charge you a late fee for this. I should have read the other reviews prior to renting from them. My quoted price of $57 almost doubled by the time they added all the other fees they don't tell you about. I will never use them again. Lesson learned.

These guys are awful. I compared prices for a U-Haul truck rental vs. a Budget truck rental. Budget came in approximately $20 lower, so I figured I'd try them out for the first time. Here are my lessons:
1) Good luck not buying the insurance. To say that they force it on you would be an understatement.
2) They do not tell you this, but when you sign the contract it says that you will be charged for returning the truck after business hours.
3) The guy that apparently runs the place, or at least he always seems to be there, should be fired immediately. Beyond providing the opposite of customer service, he is a total A-hole.
You've been warned. U-Haul is a dream compared to place. The worst part is that I STILL ended up paying more here, and all I got is a lousy headache dealing with the A-hole behind the counter.
