My husband & I moved into our new home Nov. 16. A month later and we have yet to be able to settle into our house. We opted to have laminate wood flooring in the entire lower level, except for the office. During our walk through, 4 days before closing, we noticed horrible dips in the flooring where it was obvious the concrete was not level underneath. The builder "fixed" the problem and had the repairs completed the day before closing. The morning of closing we did a final walk through to find the floors were dipping worse than before. We closed, and refused to sign off on the floors, with the understanding of we would move in and the floors would be repaired quickly. Three weeks later they finally ripped out the floors & leveled the uneven areas of the concrete. Here I am, five days later and now they are relaying the floors. I am hoping and praying the issue is fixed, unfortunately I am not sure it is. Some of the areas where the dipping was prominent were not filled with leveling material. My husband and I brought this to the attention of challenger's warranty team before the installer began, but they told him to go ahead. Again, hoping it's fixed, but if not I will be the one left to deal with a torn apart house, having to take off work so contractors can come back in, and canceling family plans, not Challenger. Just be aware things don't move quickly, unless it's in their interest, and unless you point stuff out it will not get fixed. On a positive note, I will say, all the contractors we have dealt with have been very nice and courteous and tried to accommodate us. 12/11/2017 Update....the problem is still present. This is how unlevel the floor is in just one area AFTER it was "fixed". And hey replaced the floors with the old product and pieces from a new batch and so they don't match exactly. 12/13/2017 Update.....working with someone at Challenger corporate. Scheduled mid January to again tear out floors, then grind them down, and re-lay them. But that just got cancelled this morning because we contacted a lawyer seeking advice...:no action just simple advice. And a $500 gift card that had been promised to be delivered tomorrow for our "inconvenience" was revoked. So if you look out for yourself Challenger basically stops working with you. 3/23/18: Update: our issue and the people who initially handled this were taken off the project. The new point of contact and organizer was much more knowledgeable, understanding, and worked quickly to correct our issue. I think, overall, this was a case of the wrong person handling the situation because once someone new was brought in our concerns were heard and the problem was fixed. Almost two months have gone by since they final correction was made and our floors are great!

We were so excited for our first home and decided to go with Challenger. Everything seemed simple and easy until we moved in. From the moment we moved into that house we had nothing but problems! The windows would get mold along the rim of them from the condensation when it rained or snowed. All of the sod they put into our backyard died because of the way they did it and the inspection guy told us that grass could be grown on concrete so it was our fault the grass died. Before we moved into our home we were told the concrete in the front of our home as well as the garage concrete would be fixed because someone put their initials into the concrete and since they assumed it was us they never corrected it so they said once we moved in someone would come out to fix it...they never did! We asked them to do it multiple times and finally they pulled out some BS excuse that the contractor went out multiple times and we were never there which was a 100% lie because we were finally able to set up one appointment and he never showed up when I took off work to be there. The air unit they put in for our home was too small (this is coming straight from their AC guys mouth when they came out to look at it because it broke multiple times while we lived there) and they never corrected that. They also threw a fit because almost all of our switch plates were cracked or broken and we asked them to replace them...the inspection guy said we broke them on purpose so that we could have new ones put in and to waste their time/money. It was our first home and we had the most terrible experience after moving in. I would never recommend challenger homes again to anyone.

Too many up sales. Just build a nice home and put a price on it. Not 500,000 home in a community where you say the price starts at the 200,000's.

I am on my second Challenger Home. We purchased our first one in 2010. In 6 years, didn’t have one issue with the home. Bought our 2nd Challenger Home in 2016, and still love the floor plan and location. This builder cares, and it shows.

We love our challenger home. As first time home buyers my wife and I were thrilled when we found out we CAN afford to buy a new build with challenger. Quality of the build is great and they do not hesitate to help you get the finishing touches scheduled to be fixed and get your home where you want it to be.
