Clovis Animal Receiving & Care Center

I dropped off a dog that we found running on Fowler. The female officer was polite and professional took my information and took the dog with out a problem. It was a little depressing looking but clean. I would have given it more stars but I don't like their hours. They need to be a little more flexible with their hours.

Clovis it is such a wonderful place, they are so good to the lost pets, they do their very best to take such good care of the animals who are lost and find homes for them through Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center.

I found some kittens that had been abandoned by their mother due to someone leaving their scent on them and looked to call this place. I reached a volunteer on the phone and explained my situation, and I was told that she had to talk with her boss. Well, what the boss didn't know is that I was able to hear their conversation and what I heard was not only offensive, but proves the lack of care these workers have for these helpless animals. Behind my back, the conversation were things such as, "They started this mess, so they need to finish it," and, "they should've just left them there." All 3 kittens would've died in the 110 heat, and overall, I was shamed for rescuing these babies, and saving lives is not something to be ashamed of. I would highly recommend staying away from this unsympathetic facility, and opting for the Valley Animal Center.

I don't understand we pay higher taxes in Clovis compared to surrounding cities because our tax dollars are being thrown away on the city's services such as loose Animal Pick-up center (animal control services). I saw a loose dog running near shaw and he ended up luckily walking into a neighborhood so I called these guys and told them I would wait near the dog until they came and a half an hour later no one showed up and they did not even pick up the phone or return my call when I tried to call them. I tried to get the dog myself but he would run away and I had to leave. The staff here and these services are wasting our precious resources and money while endangering the animals they are supposed to protect, this needs to change
