I drove from San Jose to adopt a kitten here.
The facilities were clean and organized, with clear signage to direct people throughout the building. The staff were very knowledgeable and courteous, and the volunteers were very enthusiastic about all of the animals up for adoption. They were all able to speak very thoroughly on the personalities of the various animals, which was incredibly helpful.
Once I had visited with a couple of kittens in their adoption rooms and had chosen which kitten I wanted to bring home, I was directed to the front to complete appropriate paperwork. Everything was thoroughly explained to me, including the risk of a URI, the requirements and limitations involved in potentially rehoming your pet, and when to bring the animal back for a medical emergency, if necessary. They also included a thorough list of local vets that will work with pet parents for a free examination within the first ten days. When we were ready to bring her home, they provided a cardboard cat carrier, a small bed, a toy, and some treats. They provided all paperwork necessary and we were on our way home shortly.
With the paperwork they provided, I was able to take my new kitten to my local vet and receive a free exam. They appreciated all of the thorough vaccination and health records that were kept by the shelter. The vet approved of the clean incision site and the care that was taken that allowed for my kitten to have not contracted a URI.
All in all, I would definitely recommend adopting from this shelter.

I actually adopted my Toy Fox Terrier from this place and I love this place. It's a no-kill shelter and if the dog / cat doesn't get adopted in a timely manner they find other organizations that would adopt the animal until they find a good home for it. I also take my dog there for all his shots it is very cheap and the staff are very friendly.

This a great place to adopt a Pet and gain a companion and family member for life. ALL of the Staff and Volunteers are just great. I really can't say enough good things about the important work and animal services provided here.

Pros: Facility is clean, front desk is friendly and informative.
Cons: extremely difficult to rescue animals from this specific shelter. It is a high kill shelter, 30% of the dogs they’ve taken in are put down.
Please do your research, if adopting this facility is perfect, but if you choose to surrender your own animal you are basically giving it a death sentence.
Look into local rescues, fosters, and rehoming your animal before leaving it at a high kill shelter.
