It looks like a spa but they sell food! And great food at that! Great for a drink and a quick bite or a full meal. Wide open space makes it a great place for large parties. Staff is really nice. Loved it.

We went to Cochon to wait for a nearby event to start. The restaurant was very busy at 6:30pm, but staff was very quick to welcome us and offer bar service until seats were available. There's family style seating, as well as booths. Tables are very close together, so the noise level is loud. The menu was very diverse featuring comfort foods such as twice baked potatoes, Mac and cheese, greens, and shrimp and grits. They offered their namesake - Cochon, ham, rabbit, chicken, seafood options and beef ribs as protein choices. What I really enjoyed were the unique cocktails. One. Was called "in a pinch " which featured vodka, crawfish boil, and lager. They also had a pretty good wine and beer selection. Prices were in the moderate range. Cochon is easy to see, parking can be a bit tricky to find. You can pay the $20 parking in the same block or if you are lucky to find street parking make sure you pay the parking meter. Parking is free after 7pm.

Great meal. Out of 4 days of eating in NOLA, this restaurant stood out. We went to many places, but I really enjoyed the food here. Local feel, relaxed place. Went for lunch. Good place to eat. Would highly recommend it. The Grilled Oysters were the best. I had the Cochon- it was fantastic. This place exceeded my expectations.

Three of us went, and found everything to be absolutely delicious. I had the deviled eggs and shrimp gumbo to start - very unexpected, but tasty pairing with a slight kick of heat on the back end. The Cochon was savory with interesting spices that seem familiar, but I couldn't quite place them. The cabbage, pork rinds, and shredded pork all together make a perfect bite. Service was friendly, and mostly attentive.

There was a lot of hype about this place, it led me to believe this would be phenomenal. It was good food don't get me wrong but I don't know if it really lived up to the hype. The fried alligator was pretty good, as were the crawfiah pies. Service as well was average, we waited for significant periods between drinks and to get the bill, they were busy so it's understandable, it didn't detract from the experience. I would return but with my expectations in check.
