Bon Ton Café

Haven't been back since Oct. Of last year. Still dreaming about the food. Best meal Ive had in NOLA overall hands down over multiple trips. My parents fly from Florida for a weekend just to eat there.

Simply put: great Cajun food that caters more to the locals than the errant tourists stumbling in from the French Quarter. This should be on your list of places to go, and while the menu does lean towards the local standard fare (fried seafood, gumbo, jambalaya), the crab au gratin is perfection. It is as if all the best things about the local cuisine were thrown into a ramekin and covered in cheese. The turtle soup is wonderful as well.

Not good at all! - Very pricey - Cajun? Not really... - Food was lukewarm when served - Had to season it...needed salt and pepper - onion rings were sloppy and half raw - took a while until we got food + Pinot noir was good We were sitting on a two person table at a window and it just smelled like piss from outside. Maybe people outside like the window so much, that they have to piss exactly on those windows...I don’t know. It’s just disgusting. Don’t know why people give that many good rates.

This is a very nice, intimate and authentic feeling place. It is not very big, but the food and service was excellent.

Very friendly and accommodating staff! Great food!!!!! A bit pricey, but worth it!! Would highly recommend this restaurant.
