CSL Plasma

I have donated plasma at Griffols in Portland, OR at least 10 times this year, for the most part without incident, one time a newer and inexperienced person couldn't find my vein. My veins may be slightly deeper, but they are exactly where you would expect them to be anatomically. Before I even finished registering a woman came up and said that she didn't think it would work, and it was just their policy for me to leave if they felt my veins were of poor quality. Again i donated 10 times this year without difficulty and whenever I have labs done they always find my vein successfully on the first try. This is an unusual experience which makes me question the quality of staff at this location.

Despite the change in FDA guidelines mandating 12 months of abstinence for blood and plasma donations, this center defies these regulations and instead has a blanket ban on ALL LGBT PEOPLE. When provided that I have abstained from all sex for more than 12 months, they refused me - instead taking a homeless man itching his veins like a Dave Chapelle skit.

The service they offer is nice. Money for donating plasma. Many of the people who work here are nice. Some of them are not. My second or third time, an employee was reading me a consent form. He read it so quickly, I could understand him. When I asked if he could slow down, he said “great, now I need to do the whole speech again.” Tough lucky, he’s asking my consent for a medicinal procedure, he should make sure people can understand him. Overall, it’s easy money for only a couple of hours of standing around.

The place could use happier workers maybe people who like there job that could provide a better service to it's customers after all without us your job would not exist ...

I like coming here staff is really friendly and I've been happy with my experience.
