Dockside Marine Inc

I have never posted a google review before. This will be my first and likely my last. I have owned boats for over 30 years. Over the last decade plus, I have taken a variety of boats and related motors to Dockside Marine for inspection, service and repair. The team there does excellent work. They are highly trained, reliable, honest and fair. Chris, in particular, has invested considerable time with me when I have faced motor issues. He thoroughly explains the details of any diagnosis, his recommendations, his estimates and any perceived risks of possible alternatives. Moreover, he has educated me on a variety of known strengths and challenges with particular motor brands/models that I have owned or considered purchasing over the years. He has gone as far as suggesting specific & generally uncommon preventative actions (that I can do myself) that I should consider taking to extend the life of my motors. I have learned over the years that this level of honesty and commitment to client service is rather unique in the marine industry. I am a very satisfied customer and will take my motors no where else. I recommend, from experience, that you do the same.

Only gave it one star as zero was not an option. Had an engine inspected by them prior to purchasing the same. Had to call them back as they originally sent paperwork for a completely different engine (which makes you wonder if they even looked at it). Engine didn't even last one season. Brought it to a local specialist who found catastrophic problems that in his words, 'should have easily been found by anyone who was minimally proficient'. End result is that the engine is now non-repairable and we need to purchase a new engine. Don't go near this company as either they don't know their own profession or they scam their customers!

Dockside Marine has been my number one choice for boat repair and maintenance for 20 plus years. Their staff is always available to help you. They are prompt to respond to your questions and to schedule service for assistance. They provide you with helpful education to get the best performance with comparative pricing and quality assurance standards. Their staff is extremely hard working and dedicated to have you as a lifelong customer.

This is a great shop. The employees are very knowledgeable and honest. There are not many businesses today that operate with integrity such as this. They work on boats and most personal watercraft. I have two Mercruisers and he has assisted me in getting them operating perfectly and his prices are very fair and reasonable. I'd recommend this shop to anyone.
