First time staying in a hostel and the experience was awesome! Very clean and the staff is friendly. The manager AZ made breakfast and provided pizza one night! He also gave helpful advice on entertainment and good eats around the city. Definitely staying here again next time!

Amazing amazing amazing! The staff were so kind and went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and safe. This Hostel felt more like staying over at a friend's place; it was super cozy! Add in free chocolate chip pancakes, clean beds and a great location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Duo.

This is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Leaving ones shoes at the door kept the carpet and hardwood floors clean. Everyone washed their dishes and cleaned microwave after each use. They didn’t earn a 5 star because they didn’t offer separate male and female rooms ( it should be an option).

Best hostel I can imagine, for the price! Clean, comfortable, not nickel and diming you for towels/sheets/WiFi/lockers. The people who work here are incredibly friendly and conscientious. Breakfast is included, and you can use the small kitchen to cook yourself. They even host fun events on weekend evenings, sometimes with free food! It definitely feels like a hostel--it's not luxurious--but if you're prepared for everyone to be all on top of everyone else, this is a great place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay here so much! Clean accommodations, super-friendly staff and tasty pancakes for breakfast are the highlights! It's close to all forms of transit (we ended up using the green/yellow metro line over on 7th the most) and a fairly close walk to most of the sights downtown, at least in nice weather.
The downsides were really minor - the facilities need some minor work (a few drippy faucets and a rickety toilet were the main things i noticed.) The WiFi was occasionally spotty in the downstairs bedroom where i was.
If i were to do anything different next time (as i will not hesitate to return here if i ever find myself in D.C. again.) I would bring rubber soled slippers to wear after taking my shoes off in the entryway - most of the floors are carpeted, but the few that weren't could be slippery in socks.
