Teahorse Hostel

4 bunk beds in the room and 1 bathroom. Another private bathroom on the floor. Well-equipped kitchen if you are cooking your own food. Unlimited waffles for breakfast.

Great Appalachian trail hostel. Nice clean hostel with space to spread out. Resupply is limited but inexpensively priced. Be aware that almost all the restaurants are closed on Mondays.

Excellent accommodations and service. Very timely shuttle service set up. Ben was a wonderful host. Laurel was an awesome shuttle provider to the trail. Was on the the spot when we had to leave.

The Teahorse is great compared to others in the Harper's Ferry area. I stayed at one hostel across the Potomac River (HI Harper's Ferry) and the hostesses was making people go to bed so that she could have sex with another hiker. It was so terrible! The guy she was having sex with was trying to freeload while the rest of us paid and she obviously let him. They even stole my cooking pot.

I've stayed here twice while bicycling the G.A.P. and C&O Towpath route. It's a simple stay for a hot shower, clean bed and sheets and nice communal area for chatting with other guests. Breakfast was a welcome Waffle and Fruit and there is a mini-mart nearby. This is very popular with the AT hikers and PittD.C. Cyclists. If you're on an adventure this is a welcome chance at laundry, getting cleaned up, a good night's rest and meal.
