Hostel Capitol City

Cheapest and most personal hostel. The staff is nice and always there for customers. It is a bit far out, but during the week and saturdays, you can use the free streetcar to Union Station. The beds are extraordinarily comfortable for hostels and everything is available.

You get what you pay. The hostel is not the cleanest one, but it is okay. The owner is really nice and I can't understand the comments which call him a rac.... If this would be true, he wouldn't own a hostel to meet people from all over the world. The hostel consists out of two different houses. Make sure, that you see both of them.

Great value close to the Capitol with easy access to everything via local bus. My stay felt more like coming home than to a hostel or hotel. The owner's attention to the small details made my stay memorable in the best way. Bill was very helpful and accomodating. I will stay again next time I am in DC.

Those interested in this hostel should definitely research the neighborhood where it's located... Or just find another hostel in a safer location.

a bus line away from everything the 7 eleven has good coffee locals in the area are very friendly, Bill was very helpful!
