East Fork

Great campsite with tons of trees and easy access to the stream/river for fishing. Bathrooms were immaculate. Flush toilets and good upkeep go a loonnggg way to making it a decent experience. Camp host was extremely nice and seemed to really be aware of everything going on in the campground, in a responsible and friendly way. Easy to feel safe with someone who seemed to genuinely care and want to be there. It's a short drive to spend time on rock creek lake or to go to the rock creek trail, both great places for relaxing or an enjoyable hike.

Beautiful place to camp. The Rock Creek river runs along the whole campsite. I enjoyed taking pictures at the river. Just a few minutes up the road is Rock Creek Lake, for good shore fishing or boat fishing.

During winter time, you can hike, snowshoe, sled, cross country ski here. Leads to the lake, it was frozen when I went. Pretty easy hike, just follow the path.

Loved this campground. Close to Rock Creek Lake, but not quite as busy. Right next to the stream. Nice trails up and down the mountain. Camp hosts were very helpful and friendly. No showers, but flush toilet bathrooms were okay. Everything was pretty neat and clean around all the campsites. Great view of the stars once you step out from underneath the trees.
