Campground store doesn't have a lot of selection like others. The store mainly has snacks and things to light up a fire. Stayed at #131 campground for groups and it was a good size. Only downsize was that the restrooms were like a 10 min walk. Place to get water, parking and start of trail were right across.

Pinnacles National Park - RV Site #102: The national park is great, hikes, bat caves, condors in the wild. The campground is good. The RV site has electric, no water at the site, no sewer but the rv dump was convenient at checkout. The pad is not completely flat, but it is gravel so it wasn't muddy. A beautiful, huge oak tree shades the back half of the campsite. The wildlife was everywhere. Each morning and evening we watched wild turkeys, quail, deer, jackrabbits, woodpeckers and other birds from our campsite. The camp store is decent and is usually busy. The pay-for-a-password wifi was good at the store, reasonable bandwidth to be able to do what I needed to do. The bathroom and showers are old and need to be updated. This is not a glitzy modern RV park but it met our needs and was very relaxing. But the hiking trails directly from the campground or reached by the free shuttle running on weekends are awesome.

The cave hike is so awesome..go early to avoid the crowds of people!
The camp ground was FULL to the max so that always makes for loud nignts..dogs off leashes and kids running around..the bathrooms were ok but no hand soap and after a long day of use by 100's of people they got pretty gross..we went in March and car camped..it was really cold about 28 to 30 at night!
There was very very limited parking..
My suggestion would be try to go during the week..take early am or pm hike to avoid the masses of people..National parks have some of the most beautiful sites but if your trying to escape people it can be a challange...

Love this park sooo much, but worst campground experience ever. Gangs of raccoons that surrounded you and made it feel like they were seconds away from pulling a knife on you to get food. People clearly don't watch or follow food guidelines. Also, quiet hours weren't followed or enforced AT ALL. People were screaming late into the night, and it sounded like one group was yodelling? It was a horrible, uncomfortable and frustrating experience. Don't camp here if you want an enjoyable night camping! Seriously never experienced anything like this at any other campground. Weird! Sad! Disappointing. :C

The park and landscape are pretty amazing. The hike/walk is easy to moderate. The caves and reservoir are the two good places to see. I could gives it a 3 stars because the camping experience is not as good. The gate to the caves and reservoir is closed at 5pm (I think). There is no wood fires allow (even in the pit) until October.
