Riverside Campground & Cabins

Best Place to stay in Big Sur, Centrally located, All the Staff is Beyond Awesome. From the Front Desk To the Maintenance Crew and everyone in between. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, cabins are great as well as the Riverside Tent sites. Nice and Quiet, well off the road side so you don't hear traffic on Highway 1. I would recommend this place to Family & Friends in the future. Don't Forget to Visit the Camp Store for plenty of Awesome Souvenirs and all the Snacks and Drinks you need, it's really well Stocked

Such a cute cozy campground hidden in the woods by a beautiful stream. Pam was the nicest, most hospitable office attendant who made us feel right at home and even gave us a great deal on a cabin for the night! Highly recommend and will be back!

This was first time taking a solo trip camping so I wanted to go to Big Sur. I live on the South Side of the Road Closure on Hwy 1. I took the shortcut through Nacimiento Fergusson Road and got their just before dark on Saturday night. All campgrounds in the area were full. I talked to the amazing woman in the office who was so kind to me. She knew I was tired and traveled alone and it was getting dark. Even though they were full she let me pitch my tent and I had a wonderful first night. I stayed a second night and stayed in a cabin. The experience was so wonderful for me as I needed some time alone to explore. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. The campground is extremely well kept and clean. The bathroom was spotless. The store was a great help as I forgot my camp stove and they served fresh coffee in the morning. I will definitely come back to this great, beautiful location. Thank you for making my Birthday weekend so enjoyable.

Book in advance, popular for a reason. Stayed in cabin 10 for two nights. Wonderfully quiet at night. River on the site with camping spots along the river bank overlooking the river. Camp store has anything you forgot to bring including locally sourced firewood, with a gas station/small store and cafe a mile up the road and several others options to eat out a few miles more. Perfect place to go and unwind for a weekend and close to Big Sur if that's your thing. Very peaceful during the day if you're hanging out in the campgrounds. Multiple, modern and clean bathroom and showers. Good trash area for everything from recycling, regular trash to somewhere to dispose of camp fire embers easily and safely. Pet friendly with small pet fee, we had our two dogs with us.

Loved it! Highly recommended Riverside. The river was running high and beautiful, great way to fall asleep.
