Large campsites, so plenty of space for 8 people. Some trails start from the campground and you can walk to the beach - super nice. It's primitive camp, but plenty of water stations throughout. Wouldn't want to camp near the restrooms though.

Peaceful little site far enough off the road to not here the cars going by but not so far that you can't easily get to are attractions. The little town called Cambria that you drive through to get here is very cute with lots of shops.

It was an okay enough campground but it was raining so much while we were there that it was very muddy. The only thing I thought could be improved is the hassle checking in. We had two RVs, one a trailer and the other a camper. When we got the registration cabin, we were told to go find what site we want, then come back and tell them which we settled on. It is a fair distance and was quite a bother to come all the way back.

Five stars because of the beautiful beach and the trails! The beach was almost empty. The campground at Washburn is not my favorite, I got site #114, and I didn't like it. It didn't have any shade and the grill attachment was broken. Bathrooms were clean. I like the trail that takes you to the freeway, there you have to cross it to get to the beach.

Clean, well kept, and usually very quiet in the evening. The views are gorgeous and the beach is within a healthy walks walking distance. The trails are nice, but seriously beware the ticks. I love seeing the horses, deer, and wild zebras. The staff are always nice and very helpful as are the camp hosts.
