Lake Isabella / Kern River KOA

Showing up after 9 days of forest camping to this campground was a huge blessing! Clean, showers, a bar, a pool AND a free ice cream social (on weekends). Our trailer was big and they were able to upgrade us to a larger site at no charge. We were treated so wonderful. Will definitely be back.

The service here is so friendly, they give you a warm welcome and are very helpful. The amenities are pretty good, it's a great place to stay while visiting the Kernville/Lake Isabella area. This place isn't quite as fancy as the KOA in Petaluma/San Francisco KOA, but their service and effort gives them an A+.

We came in late and they were very accomodating. We had a back-in, full hook up site in the back and it was quiet. The grounds were clean and we had fun around Lake Isabella and the River during our six night stay, as well as the time we spent at the campground swimming or hanging out in the bar. Would stay again if passing thru.

Best staff. Always accommodating us coming late at night. They have bar, restaurant and laundry on site. We stayed here whole going to death valley and while coming back from death valley. Super cheap prices to. Had fun.

Staff is nice but the facilities are little outdated, place for tents is illogically right next to the road so it is noisy, even over night. Considering the price, I can't recommend this place for camping in a tent. For RVs it is probably a good place. The staff should also make it more clear for the quests to not make such a noise after 10pm.
