Dogwood Campground

Picked the last spot available, so it was a small one. However, given the option, it had a lot of shade and an electrical outlet for us to use. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean, odorless, and came with a full supply of toilet paper. The rangers were friendly and helpful. Overall, very relaxing and chill experience minus the very loud kids and adults nearby.

Very nice scenery--you're IN the wood in irregular terrain. Sites are fairly primitive. You can choose to have a level site, or a 30A/15A power pole, or a reachable water spigot.

Review in progress... A treasure in the USFS campground offerings, reservations can be made online and book early. I tried to just roll in (did not happen LOL). Notice the historic cedar, oak, pine and fir trees. Check out Dogwood Trail and Enchanted Loop Trail which are leisurely hikes of 1 mile or less. Reservations offer the camper (s) the following: Table and campfire ring with grill. This was a beautiful campground. We were in space 73 and there was really no flat area to pitch our 8 man tent without a slope. This was not to bothersome as there are several options if you have a smaller tent. We chose the spot sight unseen online, and wish we had done a little homework first. We arrived after dark and would not recommend this for pitching a tent, (city folks here LOL). The campground host arrived to greet us at about 10:30 PM, as we were still setting up. They were very friendly and had lots of suggestions for us. We were COLD as it did get into the upper 30's at night; BUT we also went in early Oct. not doing our homework first... The showers were very clean and the water was hot. We did inquire on leaving the next day about better spot options for our next visit and the camp manager/staff did suggest some other spots. Please call before making an online reservation and do your homework before reserving if you have special needs. Overall we were very happy and will be returning here for camping in the future.

Nice campground,is not a full hookup site,is only electrical 30 amp,site clean and a lot of trees
