San Mateo Campground

One of the best campaign place, we booked 3 sites and all of them were good. The restrooms were clean and environment was nice. All sites are surrounded by trees which gives you natural privacy. Be careful with squirrel/hamster you will see them a lot along with rabbit. The management team will be making rounds to make sure voice are low after 10. Beach is around 2m from this, you can either take trail or drive. Sad part is only 1 free car allowed and you have to pay 15$ for other cars.

Nice little campground. Not very private because there aren't any large trees due to the proximity to the coast, but still a nice little spot. Very accessable; no mountain roads to traverse. It's pretty close to "civilization", which can be a good or bad thing, depending on what you are looking for. Has nice amenities. A lot of water spigots, flush toilets and even showers!

This is a great campground. Plenty of hiking. Beach hikes for surfing or just hanging out. Power and water hookups available.

Fine little campground for visiting San Diego near the beach. Plenty of cozy spots as well as open areas for large group activities and such

This was a very nice campground. Could have used a bit more shade but the facilities were close by and adequate. Would stay here again.
