Campsites are bigger than you'd think, though they are on the smaller side. Plenty of parking available including an overflow lot nearby. Running water and flusable toilets so it doesn't smell. Super nice camp hosts when we were there this last weekend. Really awesome campsite for kids and families. Easy trails and biking paths just off the site. And right across the street from the beach!

Campground is pretty. You can hear the beach while you sleep. Big, roomy spots if there aren't people on both sides of you. Toilets were OK, one was clogged. Definitely a glamping spot considering there were showers and a dish washing sink. The campground was very loud over night with partying from campers all throughout the campground and we were woken up around 11pm to new campers setting up a tent. We were then kicked out at 8am because apparently our site was reserved, though we paid, and there was no sign of someone having a reservation at our site, nor anyone at the kiosk the night before. We are from Colorado, and hated camping here. If you want to camp, go to Utah or go visit our beautiful home state where you can camp in 1,000's of spots for free throughout the mountains (just don't trash it.)

A great little spot away from home, yet close to home if you live in Ventura or its surrounding cities. The shower and restrooms are clean, the fire pits, picnic tables were clean and ready to use as were the campsites themselves. The park staff was GREAT!!! Super helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. I look forward to returning here for another weekend trip.

Went for an overnite camp trip with my mom at this campground. Last time I went camping, I was 10 and I hated it. My mom asked if I’d be willing to try again. I’m 21 now. I said yes and she took me and a friend to Sycamore Canyon. This campground was perfect. The site was amazing (#45), there were facilities close by, the wind howled most of the night...it was really cool and most important, I had a blast. I will definitely start going camping more often. Look for William, the great caretaker. Best part, I spent time with my mom and was really impressed by her skills. Nice to see her be a 65 year old kid again. 😀
