rented in Portland ME - downtown location which was easy to get to. Fair price, good car, easy simple terms. Check in and Check out quick and straightforward. I even got a call the day before pick up to say that if I wanted to come a little earlier in the day they had plenty of cars, That was the cherry on top!!
I recently rented a car here, pick-up and return was simple and easy. When I got home, I realized that I had left my binocular lens caps in the car. I called and spoke to Zach - he found them and kindly returned them to me by FedEx! So grateful and relieved. Excellent, efficient, and professional service. Thank you Zach and Enterprise
My rental had 42k plus miles on it. Interior of windshield was filthy, tires were bad, steering wheel shake at 65mph made vehicle barely driveable. They have no toll system other than to rip u off.
I've rented many times at the Marginal Way, Portland, Maine location, and the staff there is terrific! Pleasant, down to earth, efficient, etc. While I've had issues with Enterprise overall in the past, this location and Enterprise overall recently has exceeded my expectations.
If I can give anything less than a 1 star I would. Charged my card 3 days later after I they received the car back with no explanation to why I was being charged instead of dealing with the insurance company. Spoke to manager Connor & employee Zane about this. Come to find out they screwed up the car I was supposed to get & charged me instead. Never again will I deal with this place again.
Though they were short-staffed upon my arrival, the car rental process was easy.
When we went to pick up the car, we tried to have them pick us up since we were at a hotel with luggage. We could not get an answer, so ended up walking over and picking up the car before checking out. Not a big deal, but not very convenient. HOWEVER...when we returned the car, we needed to get to the train station, and with COVID numbers rising were reluctant to take a taxi. They graciously drove us to the train and dropped us off. Majorly impressed! Made up for not being able to have them pick us up when we got the car.
I’ve been waiting to drop off my car, standing here with my luggage on the way to the airport, no one helping and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing. There’s a guy just sitting here like a lump, doing nothing. Complete absence of customer service.
The counter clerk was very helpful, as it seems everywhere, there was only one employee working the two days I came to pick up and then to return the car. Despite the fact that the car was very low mileage, approximately 19000 miles, I had a several hundred mile trip each way only to go to a very important doctor's appointment in Boston. The guard had inadequate tire pressure most tires, and pulled badly to the left during all of the driving, not just during braking, which made it difficult to drive and required a constant determination to remain in a straight line and stay within the lanes. I did point this out to the employee upon Return of the automobile.
They canceled my rental reservation because I did not had a Maine driver’s license which makes no sense. I rented a car with them previously without any problems, but for some reason my driver’s license was an issue this time. Make sure to rent a car hours before they close so there’s no excuses. Or better option: rent a car elsewhere.
