Worked with John Markman, he offered some amazing rates, and carefully went through the best option for my financial situation! I had inquired at a few place, and find that these people are efficient, professional and has the best rates!

This lender was creative and able to 'structure' and thus customize a VA loan in the best manner to benefit the buyer/re-financier. They offered the most competitive interest rate and a nice pricing credit at the time. Other lenders could not match the rate and 'pricing' (ie. lender credits) and couldn't grasp how to structure the loan per the VA recommendations to save the client on the VA funding fee. So, yes agent was 'nice' but that pales to his ability to go outside of the usual format of VA lending and work with the VA to get the client the lowest funding fee. Other agents just could not cope with anything out of the ordinary.

I am so disheartened by my experience with First Mortgage Solutions/Direct. The agent Rick led us on to believe that they could finance us, we gave them 30 extra days and they missed the closing day completely. The day of closing we heard nothing from our lender and it was frightening. Rick was aloof, dishonest, and disorganized and led us on to believe he could finance a loan that the underwriters denied. Our realtor voiced his complaints about working with Rick and stated that he was "not impressed" but it didn't impact us directly at first so we didn't pay attention to the red flags. I wish I followed my Realtor's instincts. I asked at one point if there was a possibility of closing early and Rick told me "We are a high volume loan agency and that is not possible." My husband was offered a job that he could not turn down and we told Rick. Rick said that underwriting approved but if we just gave him more time he could close. Well, closing day came, and he didn't even know we were supposed to close, even though we and our realtor reminded him multiple times what our closing day was. We extended our closing (the sellers of our home were already NOT happy as we already extended) and I contacted his supervisor. His supervisor was decent enough to tell me that they may not be able to give us this loan but no honesty from Rick. I wish Rick was up front and honest before we extended but he was not, he led us on, and my family and I are without the financing to purchase the home that we have already moved into.

We recently refinanced our home through Jim Spinner. I cannot explain how much we appreciate everything he did for us. He was very knowledgeable and could answer every question I had (no matter how crazy it was). Jim made the process of refinancing so easy and painless.
