Great place to go hiking! What a work out but beautiful! I took my two dogs and even though they are under flea/tick protection they still got several ticks that I had to remove from their bodies before letting them back in the car! So if you decide to take your dog(s) hiking please be aware of the ticks and take precautions or inspect them THOROUGHLY after the hike. The view was beautiful and peaceful. The hike, the birds chirping and the squirels and butterflies all around made me feel close to nature. I would love to come back for another hike when I come back to visit the North Georgia mountains again!

The weather was extraordinary on top of the mountain. We had a kids birthday party at on of the shelters near the old fort wall. The little ones ran and played and had a great time while the adults enjoyed cool breezes and a good time too.

Beautiful park with a very friendly and helpful staff!! Great hiking, beautiful overlooks and waterfalls, campground, clean, nice pavilions, very nice recently updated cabins! There is a small lake with a beach and kayak and peddle boat rentals. They always have fun workshops for kids or group hikes going on. They list them on their facebook page. Open 7 am-10pm.

We visited the park on Saturday and Sunday. The park is clean. Very family friendly with close parking and lots of recreation for all ages. We traveled from Rockyface, Georgia to Fort Mountain in less than 45 minutes and enjoyed several hours of wholesome family fun. Wonderful memories.

Awesome hiking and camping with amazing views. The overlook trail is amazing. Not to hard but one of the best views around. They also have a small beach on the lake a couple playground, paddle boat rental and mini golf. There are several bike trails but becareful before going some are a bit tricky if your not experienced. Super fun place to go if u love outdoors.
