Great place to take the family for a picnic and some trail walks. We like to go to the river and look for shells. Makes me remember working there in the summer when I was in high school.

This is a nice park with multiple trails. Ridge Lake, in the park is fun. It is open in summer FREE, but limited hours. You just call and make a reservation. They supply row boats with wet wells for fish. It is a research lake , so staff will measure weigh, etc. You can have fish if the correct size and keep for dinner. (Fishing has approx 100 steps down to lake(or maybe just feels like it), not W/C accessible)
They also have cabins for rent (you supply linen)
and camping spots. Baseball diamonds, pavilions and playgrounds.

Loved it. Trails were great and well kept. Could use some more markers along trails but other than that it was a great experience for me and my 2 dogs.

Nice state park. Has hiking trails, clean campgrounds, and large camp sites with trees around them for some privacy
