Most beautiful fishing spot! Caught four catfish while watching a pelican float by and herons fly over. Turtles were poking up their heads to see what was going on. So peaceful! Love it!

Great time with family and friends. We go to the same spot every year for what became known as mom's picnic. A little disappointed with the facilities this year. Rest room was almost full and there wasn't a lot of clear space at the bank to get all of the kids close enough to fish together but we made do. Will always go back since this was mom's time.

Beautiful park. Very rude host. He followed me into a field where I tried to set up my telescope and extremely rudely threatened me with a $130 ticket for "driving on the grass". When I asked where else I could set up ... in the park ... his answer was basically nowhere in the camping loop . I was in the field since my campsite was full of trees. Needless to say, no telescope setup was done that night after me schlepping all my gear halfway across the state. One of the kids in my group was also yelled at for using his hoverboard. Beautiful park, rude host on a power trip.

Great park at Hicory point. Great views well maintained. Nice spacious camp sites. Friendly hosts. Small store located right outside park for bait, ice firewood.

Camped here for the last time. Camp hosts both at Deer Run and Hickory Point are not only rude but unwilling to ever be friendly. Any other camp site we go to hosts stop in at least to greet you, ask how you are, ask if you have any questions or issues---not here. They will harass you about vehicles even if you are at code, threaten that DNR agents will ticket you if your kids keep using WATER GUNS, and yet their camp sites have always been littered with cigarette butts and other small trash. Love this park and I hunt/fish here quite often but finally fed up with the bad attitude that hovers over the camp grounds. It's probably the reason why you can drive thru here on a Fri/Saturday and more than a third of the camp spots are no longer being used on a very popular summer weekend.
