Love this park!! Beautiful trail loops the large, extensive pond. Discovered today they have several other decent length trails, plus all varieties of camp sites from 50amp hook up to tent to rustic backpack. Would give it 5 stars but the state isn't doing upkeep like it should. Some broken stairs on the trail, same with wood plank fishing areas being in disrepair. What a shame! But love it, just be careful when you come across the broken areas. Also, could a nearby American Legion or VFW come and take care of the flags at the memorial? Several are really tattered and torn...

This is a nice "hidden gem" of a state park. The park is well maintained. It has several secluded picnic areas. The campground is very nice and the campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. The centerpiece is a 20-some acre lake that is circled by a two mile walking trail. Be warned - the lake is restricted to electric motors and you need to go into Clinton for supplies.

Excellent place to camp, fish, the boat rental station was closed as well as the restaurant for the 2017season don't know if it will reopen for the 2018 camping season. The fishing is OK for my first time being there late in the year can tent camp or RV they have showers, garbage disposal, a very good selection of camp site's, plenty of trails to hike, as well as jogging and walking paths can bike as well must make all reservations 1week in advance.
