Understanding that funding for our state parks has been cut, I can't really fault the caretakers, but the condition of the campsite I reserved was pretty bad. It started raining and my site turned into a quagmire of mud. We packed up and tried to leave before we would get stuck. After a couple of tries we made it out of the site but our RV was a muddy mess. So we lost one day's reservation (but the cost was only $22.50). More worried about what's happening to our state parks! The toilets were also in really bad shape. Probably would not stay there again.

Beautiful park. Trails are only marked by an occasional plain post. Highly recommend a trail app (All Trails is a great one).

Good place to camp. Not packed. Have the area to yourselves, might see one or two other campers. Relaxing, have a fire, grill out.

Nice park, lots of trails, plenty of places to go off on your own and experience nature. Pavilions are nice for picnics and there is a decent selection. There is camping areas and a specific camping area for equestrians.

Been camping here for years we have had class A and two travel trailers over the years we have never had any issue. The only thing that would make it better would be water at each camp site
