one of the most beautiful places in Illinois, it's a shame it's in such a poorly run state! The park staff are all top notch, true professionals and just great people. something special to find each month of the year, just what a state park should be.

Seems more like a county park. I would not drive all the way from Chicago for just this park, but if you stop in Oregon and some of the parks it makes for a nice day and would be worth the trip.
