This is my favorite forest preserve in the area with a large body of water. Very family friendly. They have a concession stand with a bunch of good treats. There is row boats and paddle boats to rent. This is a very big forest preserve. I love going for nature walks here.

Very nice park for a walk. The springs are neat. Most paths are easy and level. Nice spot to fish a pond,lake and river in one stop. Has a snack stand and paddle boat rentals. One of my family's favorite places for a picnic. Also has trap shooting and horse trails across the road.

I really enjoyed our day here. Walked the trails, ate lunch and just enjoyed the surroundings

Very pleasant state park. We hiked on a couple of trails and enjoyed our visit this week.

Awesome state park near home. Silver Springs gets 3 stars because of deer hunting situation there. Its been pressured so much through the years that deer mostly know where the hunters are. Usually a hand full of deer come out of there. The fishing isnt really any good either in the "pond" but down by the river it can be alot of fun.
