Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie

Beautiful place with very helpful rangers. Clean easy path to follow. It's be nice if they'd add some trash cans occasionally so people can throw away dog poo bags. The bison have such a huge great area to roam. We do not support zoos and we feel great about coming here and seeing these beautiful beasts!

Wonderful experience, lucky to see the Bison up close and the 6 babies. Perfect place to escape enjoy the outdoors ...walk or bike! Will visit again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place. Map of trails is way confusing. All the people we met on the trail were hoping they would find their way back and if they were on the trail they wanted or thought they were on. Very full of birdsong.

Excellent time trailblazing, saw the bison which were about 400m+ away, saw the creek, bunkers, baileys bridge. Overall an amazing short day trip from Chicago. Great way to get in fresh air.

Incredible land and infrastructure. The warhouses, bunkers etc are awesome to explore and the terrain peaceful. 2 stars cause no target shooting on a National Prarie as there should be.
