Nice trails. Good looking lake. Supposed to be some good fishing, but we just went bluegill plucking to teach the kids how to cast and reel... The campground is kind of overcrowded and more noisy than I would like. Restrooms and showers were less than mediocre. Nice place to visit, but I'm not sure how much I'll want to stay here again. By the way... If it's 100 degrees in the shade, run down the road to the discovery center museum. Keep the kids busy in the AC all afternoon.

Could be a nice park. There are no areas to swim. We camped Memorial Day weekend and the power kept going out and the bathrooms are closed. My voltage meter read around 100 volts. We ended up leaving a day early. With some upgrades and maintenance this could be a fantastic park. It's a free park so maybe charge to raise money to maintain the park.

We were in the area at the beginning of May and asked the hotel staff for a good biking location and she directed us here. Fabulous place! There's lots of road and dirt trails to follow around the lake. We have hybrid bicycles so we did both before getting caught in a heavy down pour! The dirt trails aren't necessarily smooth either. There are tree roots in various spots, fallen trees in the path and some spots you need to bike through the grass to get back to the trail. But it's pretty fun! Lots of picnic areas and we saw quite a few fishermen, either in the lake it on the banks. This would be a great place for lots of outdoor activities, by yourself, with a friend or the family.

Beautiful, multiple levels of trails to hike, horseback, cross country ski or two lakes to choose from if water is more your thing. Food, equipment, bait and more available at the boat rental building. Open 6am-10pm after daylight savings time begins. Something for everyone. Almost everything is free. Clear your head and get away. Camping is available too. As well as boat docks, paddle boats, canoes and fishing piers, just to name a few.

Wow. Unexpectedly very good place. Big lake and around that all small hills, lot of hikings, walking, play ground areas. We loved it. Very quiet place and definitely recommend for family get-together, parties. Also good for water sports.
