We picked an RV campsite for our Easter break that was as far south as we wanted to drive for a 5 day trip (6 hours). It turned out to be Sam Parr. What a lucky pick! Beautiful campsites, many well maintained bathrooms, water at every site. We were surprised to learn that many of the locals camp there on weekends. They are all very friendly and nice. What surprised us was the amount of cans and bottles all over in the woods. Every day we picked up 2-4 bags full. With the amount of locals coming to camp, I'm surprised they haven't organized a clean-up.

A great place to go to camp or bike at. I would definitely advise going there. A lot of wasps and bees are around the park areas during spring and summer. I also once went biking and I fell whenever riding. These are all just minor of course, which makes my rate go from a 3 to a 4. I also noticed there wasn't much wood given from the park at the campsites whenever visiting some friends. I hope you use this to your advantage. -A random biker

6$ a night for tent camping. Some times IDNR come around to collect money but you can go to the office. 18$ a night for rv/ camper sites. Bathrooms are okay, always have toilet paper. The pump station on the rv site is very good, worth the 18$ you spend. Great walking area and trails are only 3.0 miles or close to that. Allows hunting also.

A great place to camp, hike, and fish. The rangers are always helpful and friendly. The tent camping area is well maintained. Boat ramp on site and RV camping area in the northern part of the park. Playground for the kids and picnic areas. A nice quiet place to get away from it all.
