Great free place to visit to learn about the history of GA. There are displays about the Civil War, Civil Rights, and the geology of GA. Architecture is amazing. Do keep in mind that it is a state capital building, so they look through your stuff like in the airport. It seems to be in a safe area and near a metro station.

We have a beautiful Capitol. Wonderful history. There is a museum on the top floor. Security measures are in place, so check the website before you go. Easy parking, unless the legislature is in session.

I participated in the capitol's page program. It was such an interesting experience. I would advise anyone to come here, under any circumstances, to gain an understanding of democracy on a local level.

The Georgia State Capitol is a beautiful building that is very accessible to the citizens of Georgia. It has great stairways and hallways and you can talk to your Representative and/or Senator on most days when they are in session (The Session is 40 Days Long and is January through March).

My child's class visited the capitol and i believe that should hire younger ppl to help the kids enjoy the visits. We have to help these kids and get them excited about learning something new!
