Would give it 5 stars but the woman in the office was kind of rude. Brushed me off and told me to go to the tourist information down the street. The building, grounds and location get 5 stars. There is s wonderful museum in 5 rooms with an amazing assortment of military memorabilia. Building sits in a lovely park like square, surrounded many little shops, restaurants and cafes. A gazebo was set up for a wedding later today. Lots of historical markers on the grounds. I learned that Mr. Gwinnett, whom this county is named after, was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and later killed in a duel.

If I could give them less than one star I would. We have had our wedding booked there for an entire year and I found out that they had another bride's rehearsal dinner scheduled literarily 30 min before my wedding starts. We will both be on the property at the same time. When I went to ask that they fix the problem they said “It is our property and we can rent it out as we see fit, we do not consider this double booking” The female staff at this venue are the rudest women I have ever dealt with they told me they hoped I found another venue because they didn’t want to deal with me because I was over reacting to their DOUBLE BOOKING THE VENUE ON THE DAY OF MY WEDDING. They implied that her wedding was bigger, so she’s bringing more revenue than I am, so therefore I am less important! I know what many brides are thinking “they are the cheapest in town” but when you add up all their fees for renting chairs and table linins, bar tender fees, police officer fees, having to pay for someone to clean up and renting out decorations they come out much more expensive then they originally appear. And you factor in that you will have to do all your own set up (of your decorations), the huge restrictions they have on everything, the rudeness of their female staff (the people you will actually be dealing with for your wedding) and the stress of having to worry about them booking other events on your wedding day. This VENUE IS NOT WORTH IT! We broke our contract and booked with another venue and we are saving a $1,000 in the long run.
