Well preserved historical landmark/area with several options for guided tours or easily self guided. The area covers about 3 blocks and is mix of preserved landmarks and museums. You can walk through in as little as 30-45 minutes or take a couple hours to read and view all of the historical information. Also, most if not all of what is offered is FREE!

A great place to visit! You need at least 2-3 hours to tour all the buildings. I'd start with the visitor's center and then the church, his childhood home and then the menorial. I'm very happy this is part of our national park system.

Even though my family and I were unable to enter, because we didn't obtain free passes that are necessary to enter( you can get these tickets free of charge from a block or two over from the home), I still must give it a 5. It's history! The grounds were kept up very nicely. If the inside of the house is of any resemblance to the shop that we visited next door, then it is beautiful. The shop had many different books, hats, toys, etc. to purchase. Very nice, as the lady who was working there. I will definitely go back.

They completed the renovations of the Infinity Pool...it is beautiful! Of course the Birth Home is amazing but don't forget to walk along Auburn Ave. It gives you a real glimps of what Martin Luther King's neighborhood was like when he was young. All the history and beauty of the homes, not to mention the fact that some of his original neighbors still live close by. Also, chat up the Mailman if you see him. He knows everyone and can introduce you to at least one of the original neighbors. Wonderfully enlightening experience!

Nice ranger tour of the house where MLK was born and lived in during childhood. You can't take pictures inside the house but pictures outside are fine. Make sure that you get your ticket from the visitor centre before hand. Tours are limited to 15 people each time so fill up quickly.
