This is the place to go for souvenirs, good vibes and great local food!!!! They do sell some of the same stuff as Walmart and the shops in Waikiki but here they mostly have better prices and variety of stuff and the money goes straight to locals not big corporations! There are lots of shops that sell their own art and make the souvenirs themselves. You can get a bunch of stuff personalized and with your name. Lots of Aloha shirts and dresses. I will definitely be coming back again especially for the FOOD Skip the Waikiki shops and go straight here!!! You can also get fresh coconut here they chop it up and put a straw in it for you to drink
This place is great for not only getting your tourist gifts to send back home but also just a great place to people watch. The hard working folks that work the booths are friendly and not pushy. Prices vary between vendors so take a walk around the stadium first then buy on the second loop. There are two to four isles of vendors so you can miss some hidden gems. Budget 2 to 3 hours if you’re taking out of town guests or this is your first time. There is a great food court if you want lunch. During the pandemic it was pretty sparse but now it’s back to lots of vendors and shoppers.
Absolutely loved this place! We went the first day of our trip and glad we did because we were able to buy a lot of stuff that we could wear for our pictures as well. So many shops that are great for souvenirs. There were also a lot of food that we could try while walking around. We planned to spend half day at the market, but totally underestimated it and spent a very long time than we planned, but it was worth it. We went as soon as the market opened and it wasn't crowded. but around noon more shops start opening and you wouldn't want to miss any! :
There are things here you can definitely find cheaper than stores. If you need souvenirs from Hawaii, start here first. The best thing about this place is that every few months there's a new stall. For the more successful ones, they would have tripled their business into more stalls. Traveling with a local gets you kamaaina local admission price of a foodie dollar compared to $2.
This was a nice event. So much here to see. It pretty much stretches all the way around the stadium. There is just about something there for everyone. If you are looking for something specific and don't see it just walk a few more steps and there will be more tents. There are food trucks and tents with food throughout the area. The prices are very reasonable. Most vendors do take cards/debit but also recommended having cash too. Sometimes it is just easier paying with cash. Definitely worth checking out for shirts and collectables.
This swap meet surrounding the stadium is a great place to shop for souvenirs shirts, hats, bags, jewelry, etc and to grab a simple bite to eat. Many of the shops sell the same things, so if you see something you like, don't rush to buy. You may find it cheaper at another shop. Parking is ample, but early birds will get spots next to the action.
If you are looking for souvenirs and you have your own car, this is worth the drive away from the ABC stores at Waikiki. It’s an outdoor flea market type ambiance. It was sunny and hot when we went. Plenty of neat places to have some grab and go tasty Hawaiian foods.
Love it. Food deals and beautiful weather. Park early...spots fill up quick. Food is a little thin but the again we went early. Sun screen up. Umbrella for sun. Bring water in a back pack to not carry heavy items in hand.
Every time I come to Oahu, we have to stop by the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace. This trip I went right after breakfast on Saturday, March 5. It's $1 a person to get in and they have the BEST souvenirs to bring home at the cheapest prices by a long shot. It honestly seems like it's getting cheaper every time that I visit. From cheapest to most expensive: Aloha Stadium Swap Meet ABC Store Costco Wal-Mart Target Drugstore Airport There are actual artisans making / carving their products there, as well as resellers who have every type of Hawaiian clothing, lei or jewelry under the sun. Between all of my Hawaii visits, I have probably 25 sarongs, with the cheapest being from the swap meet here on Oahu. You can get them for as cheap as $5 and a dozen extra long shell leis for $5-$8 depending on the stall. For whatever reason, a lot of tourists wear matching outfits with their spouse or kids - which my husband hates. So many vendors here sell these matching sets of clothes. They definitely have a bunch of food vendors selling everything from malasadas, which are a filled, fried donut, to fresh coconuts, to Hawaiian mix plates that always come with a protein & two scoops of white rice and a scoop of macaroni salad made with grated Maui onion. If you know you're going to get souvenirs, you should stop here first.
Loads of vendors with unique items. Inexpensive prices. Some take credit cards but many are cash only. Loads of parking for $1 per person at Aloha stadium.
