This Motel used to be Tastefully painted and now they have repainted the building and the rooms with Hideous colors as you can see from photos. Room was not very clean. Shower had black mold on tile. Although location and service was very good. People at the front desk were very nice and helpful. This location is reasonably priced considering it's near the Keys. I would stay here again but I wish they would paint back the rooms the way they were or with a more pleasing decor. The bright orange walls in the rooms look terrible along with the lime green borders around the doors in the hallways.

I called to request a tax exemption for government workers and was denied.
I stayed in a room on the first floor that smelled like a fungus was floating in the air.
There were little roaches in my restroom.
At the end of the week, the other workers I was there with also had issues with their stay, we have now added this hotel to our “Stay Away” list for every time anyone goes down to Florida. And will be avoiding Holiday Inn hotels because of the tax exemption issue.

Clean rooms, certain areas of the hotel could use some updating. Overall a good stay though. Great location when travelling from Miami to the Keys, or vice versa.

This place was nice and relaxing. I had orientation here for a job and they had a full breakfast buffet. Plenty of coffee, tea, muffins , bananas, cereal, egg and cheese omelettes, Turkey sausages, pork sausages, pancakes, waffles, orange juice, kiwi strawberry juice, toast and breads of all kinds, grape jelly , strawberry jelly, regular syrup and sugar free syrup. The pool is back of the lobby, nicely decorated and good accommodations.
