Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Clearwater Beach

Staff has been friendly and accommodating. We mentioned we are on our honeymoon and the concierge changed our room to his favorite in the building. I must say, the room is amazing!!! We have a corner room with 2 large windows viewing the golf and our balcony sits above the restaurants patio where they play live music every night. We have seen dolphins a few times, a manatee, Jets, cost guard helicopters practicing jumps (we think) and a count down for the sunset. Waking up to this view is amazing!

Beautiful view and I loved the suite. It had the bedroom on one side, and a bedroom on the other. Also, a bathroom on each side as well. Ideal for travelers on different sleep schedules. There was a little spot that could've used some paint touch-up, but otherwise in great shape. My traveling companion said the bed and pillows were the best he had ever slept on it his life. Staff was also very pleasant and efficient.

The room was perfect as was the room service. The view of the sunsets can not be beat. The only downside would be from my son. He is not a confident swimmer yet so he didn't like that the pool starts out at 4.5 feet deep since he can't touch there so he got stuck playing on the stairs a lot and the kiddie pool is too little for him. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU SEEK GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Went to the holiday inn for a week vacation. I purchased my room three weeks in advance, 6 nights for $1100. I called the hotel in multiple times to insure my reservation and they seemed fine. I flew out to Florida and when I arrived at the hotel to check in. The gentleman at the front desk was just about to get us set up with the room and then the manager (GARY) enters stage right and refuses me access to a room and tells me to hit the road due to the fact that I'm only 20y/o. He offered me no other hotels or places to stay at and nearly left me stranded on my vacation. Fortunately I had my friend who was staying with me for that week checked in under his name. Since he was 22y/o, the management seemed to be okay with it. They Charged my friend $395 as a deposit and have yet to return the money. We barely even stayed at the hotel other than to sleep there. It has been 4 days since we checked out and my friend's deposit has yet to be returned. This is absolutely abhorrent service and I will not be staying there ever again.

Second time staying here, love it. Only problem was the small refrigerator had no freezer section so my ice cream melted oh and no room safes. Checking out Tuesday. Here for anniversary! Room with views is awesome.
