The minute I got there the staff was on it. This is my second visit. My first was awful. But I decided to give them another try. Everyone deserves a second chance. I'm glad. All the staff was very nice and respectful. That makes a big difference. Thank you Houston Med Center for making my experience awesome.

My overall opinion of Houston County Hospital has been very positive over the last several years. But if you're using the radiology department be careful whoever is doing their billing can be very sneaky. We were billed and we paid it for services that my insurance company had already paid for. They were supposed to refund us the money. They only refunded us part of the money. After several months of them building us for other services and us calling them to find out why they had not refunded us the rest of the money, they finally said that we owed them money dating back to 2011 in amount like $4 $2 to which we never received statements for. Just be careful with their billing. It all started with them billing us for money we didn't owe them.

The wait times are horrible. The staff is inconsistent and keeps you waiting FAR longer than necessary.
You can be gotten to an exam room in maybe an hour but you're going to spend the next 3 to 4 hours waiting and waiting and waiting with no sight or word from your nurse or the PA/Doctor.
The staff doesn't communicate with each other at all which results in even more waiting.
Honestly, unless you're not in a hurry, just take the extra 30min and go to Navicent.

My client was recently admitted to Houston Medical. The poor nursing staff lied about returning back to her room to give her a bath. I visited her the following day and spoke to a different nurse that said " I have 14 other patients, I'll see if I'll have time to come back and bath her... Sorry." Yes... Your right, you are sorry! When is it ok as a nurse to make excuses for your job not being met! YOU, as a nurse signed up for the job... We as love ones and family members just expect you to do your job... With no EXCUSES! The WORST HOSPITAL I've ever been in.

This is the worst hospital I have ever been to and never phanthom of experience the worst customer care/ assistance from this hospital staff. My 1yr old needed to be seen immediately. The staff members had no clue on what they were doing and are extremely rude. Other people where also in the waiting room with kids for hours before and after us and there where *no rooms available* quoted by one of the staff. Me and my family stayed at the hospital from 10:30pm-4:00am and still was not seen by anyone. PLEASE AVOID THIS FROM HAPPENING TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES.
And must I say that my little one and I have valid insurance... So no excuse! This is so unacceptable and I'm a firm believer that this hospital should be reported for the lack of abandoning ill and injured patients and a poor example of the expectation that a hospital should have and be ran properly..
Just a concerned mother about my little one and others with kids (loved ones) as well.
