I was hospitalized at this hospital about two months ago due to some cardiac issues. I fainted at home, which was very unusual for me so I immediately decided to call 911. When the ambulance arrived, they put me on a 12-lead EKG and decided it would be best to transport me. The Paramedics were really nice and professional. If I had to rate just the ambulance service, it would have been 5-stars. My problem with the hospital comes from the service after arriving.
After the ambulance dropped me off I was put into a holding room. This was a room in which 8-10 patients could be stored until admitted to a room. The night time nurses appeared to have nearly zero bedside manner and only seemed to make the patients who were there even more upset than they already were. They waited a full night until mid-afternoon the next day to give me a room. The room I will admit was very nice and roomy. The nurse admitted that my room was one of the largest. Speaking of the nurses, while my night time nurse seemed pretty nice, she didn't speak much. I make the assumption that the nurses must have been overworked.
One aspect I enjoyed about the cardiac monitor was that it was a wireless module. This allowed me to freely roam around the room without being tethered to the cardiac monitor. During my stay in the Cardiac tower, I had a doctor who walked in, barely introduced herself and began to inspect my ankles without speaking about what she was doing. This wouldn't be so much of an issue but when you're sitting there relaxing and somebody just grabs your ankles, it sort of surprises you. I was finally released the next day, early afternoon. I speculate that they intentionally waited just to be able to charge me for another day. The last nurse I interacted with was nice enough. He seemed a little grumpy like the other nurses but as I said previously, I think it had to be something from above his level that was pressuring him so I can't judge him too harshly for that.
Overall I feel like this hospital is more about making a profit than giving great bedside manner. I believe the hospital probably places enough pressure on the nurses that it is difficult to give good bedside manner when faced with stress from above.

I entered ER at 6:15 pm for chest and shoulders pain. After tests that ruled out heart attack issues, blood was drawn. Then was told blood would be drawn 3 hrs later. If results were good I could go home. After negative blood results, I still can't go home... After several other negative tests and 3 other times being told I could go home, I signed myself out. Discharge process is very poor. No one likes being lied to...

My name is Don and I currently reside in Texas. Recently, my mother had a hip replacement at Navicent Health. Due to my work schedule and transport issues, I was unable to stay with my mother during her hospital stay. Leah, the Joint Navigator, took the time to call and give me updates on how my mother was doing. Very professional and knowledgeable. My mother is not an easy women to please but she won her over immediately. I felt confident about her care and I knew she was in good hands. I don't compliment people often, but Leah and the rest of the staff on 7 Main were wonderful. When I told her I wanted to write a letter or call someone to praise them, she said that would not be necessary but I felt compelled to do so anyway. Thanks Leah and Seven Main!

Was always treated like I am someone never mistreated or turned away or given half treatment like my life and issues weren't important. I'd like to thank you all for leading me to all of the correct facilities to get the help I need and needed, for that I am so grateful!! Thanks to any and all staff I dealt with and who put up with me. You're #1 in my book.

I am at the gastrointerology center now and have been waiting since 10am to receive discharge from the doctor it's now 11:43. I signed to be the driver and this is the only thing I hate more than choosing this facility. I realize there are other patients but waiting 2hrs for discharge into a full lobby of patients waiting to be seen says a lot about scheduling. Numerous appointments on the same day for a procedure with a doctor that cannot step in to sign release after 2hrs is absolutely ridiculous.
