Island Escapes - Marco Island Vacation Rentals

Loved the house, and rented it for 4 years. We left the house in perfect condition after every rental month and always left it cleaner than what we had found on arrival. After the 4th year, the floors were dirty when we got there and the cleaners never came after we called them. We cleaned the house ourselves. We had requested to rent for a month, again 2019. The office staff promised to get back to us to confirm the dates, but months went by without a call. When I called them, again, they said the time we requested was still reserved for us, and someone would call us back. But, inexplicably, they never did...again. 'sent an email to clarify, but no response.

I visited Marco Island with my boyfriend and his family last Thanksgiving for a week and had an amazing experience with Island Escapes. Caroline helped us find the perfect house and was available for any questions we had during our stay. The house was so beautiful and big enough for all eight of us. We are already headed back this Thanksgiving and know our experience will be just as pleasant.

I recently visited Marco Island and was very pleased with my stay. Its the perfect place to get away from City life. Josi was very helpful in helping book the perfect rental home. I recommend coming for a relaxing get away. Can't wait to go back next year.

A group of 10 of us rented a house in Marco Island this Fall when we were down for a wedding. Overall the house was pretty nice although our pool wouldn't heat up and in the information packet, they said we couldn't touch the pool settings. Which begs the question, what's the point of renting a house with a pool? Our experience was fine until after we left. Since we had 10 people there for 6 days, we used a considerable amount of towels. We attempted to do a couple loads of towels but unfortunately the dryer was broken. After leaving the house in good condition with the exception of the dirty towels, they still hit us with a cleaning charge for "excessive laundry". This was the first thing we were nickel and dimed on which was enough to get frustrated but I'm guessing these sleazy type of rental companies try to hit their guests with everything they can to make an extra buck. Separate from the towels, they also made a claim that we broke one of the towel bars. I immediately checked with our whole group and no one admitted to breaking a towel bar and trying to fix it. I asked for them to send us pictures and we saw that whoever broke the towel bar, patched up the wall and painted over. They claimed that we not only patched the drywall up and fixed the towel bar, but also painted over to cover up what happened. This was pretty ridiculous as we were only there for a few days and no one in our group had the acumen to take on a project like that nor cared to in their short stay in Florida. We refuted this charge and they eventually left it alone. Which brings me to ask the question, do they do this to all guests and hope others just pay up? Anyways, I hate to give one star but the fact that we were nickel and dimed and blamed for something we clearly didn't do, I have to drop to one star. Also from a customer support perspective, the communication was less than stellar in many aspects. I wouldn't say to not rent from these people, but make sure you cover all your bases and expect to get nickel and dimed at the end.

We recently rented a Marco Island home through Island Escapes. Their website led us to believe this was a PREMIER property which was far from the truth. The pool, promised to be 85 degrees, was cold and the spa was moldy and did not work. The washing machine was moldy, there were live cockroaches in the home, and the master bed had urine stains and cigarette burns on the mattress. We asked for one days refund to make up for the horrible experience but we were offered a discount on a future stay. Needless to say, we will not use Island Escapes again and will let our friends know of their poor performance.
