Contempo Florida Holidays Vacation Homes Rentals Orlando 33837 Orlando

My family and I just arrived to our vacation home in Florida. We have driven all the way from Virginia to enjoy Orlando Florida. Unfortunately the home we have rented is not what we expected. For starters, the home AC thermostat is locked so guests can't configure the temperature to their desired comfort. The temperature inside the home is a humid 78 degress. They have a lockout temp set to 73 but the unit isn't efficient and does not even cool the home to their set preference. I called and spoke with a representative to see if they would at least issue us fans so we can be somewhat comfortable. They told me they would see what they can do and we have yet to hear a response. This is such a big issue for my family as we do not like to be hot within our residence. To add, the beds have very hard mattresses in which my mother can't lay on. We have to go out and purchase mattress toppers to attempt to sleep comfortably in an already hot and humid home. In addition to the hard beds, there are no TVs in the bedrooms. We have a wide range of ages on vacation with us and it would've been nice to have separate areas for people to go to and watch their desired shows. The decor within the home is extremely dated. The pictures online make the home look better than what it actually looks like in person. All in all I am so saddened and disappointed in this home. We will try to make the best of this vacation regardless of the false advertisement. If renting a home please be sure to ask about the AC and tvs and whatever else is important to you when you go on vacation. Lesson learned!
