J. Alexander's Redlands Grill

My wife and I like to know the best local eateries. In two date night trips, I’ve been very impressed. It’s not often I can honestly say that every bite of food was above average, but I can say it here. I could have stopped at the salad and had a fantastic experience. Every detail is obviously considered and perfected. Management makes it their business to know your experience will make you come back. Service is professional and top notch. We chose to celebrate our 10th anniversary at Redlands and will definitely be celebrating there in the future. Prepare to realize the value of fine dining.

I was very impressed with this restaurant. The service was very quick both at the bar and at the table. I had swordfish which was moist and full of flavor. I also thought that the servers had a professional attitude yet very friendly. I spoke with the manager who said they spend a lot of time on training. It shows.

Service and atmosphere were impeccable. Appetizer onion rings we're to die for. Burger was too well done and mayo & mustard was not expected. Steak was cooked to perfection but the sauce completely smothered out the wood fire taste I was looking forward to (should have paid more attention to the description). Chicken salad was just ok.

My husband took me here for Mother’s Day dinner and food was good but service was so so. Asked for A1 sauce never got it and didn’t get my second beer till I was almost done with my dinner. I ordered the prime rib and it was really good but I almost swallowed a sharp piece of bone that I had to get back up causing it to scratch my throat. Told two servers nothing was done no manager stopped by to see what happen I didn’t want a child or older person to have something like that to happen to them. Frustrated I walked up after paying my bill to the manager and gave her the bone and all she said was sorry and thank you They didn’t handle the situation what so ever.

Recently had the most extraordinary experience at this restaurant. The staff is extremely professional and friendly and service was excellent. I do want to call out one individual that literally lit up the establishment with her smile and attentiveness - Makayla. She made every member in my party feel special and it is because of her that I hope to return for many future meals with clients and family - - just hope I luck into having her in the future! This young lady should be the face of J Alexander's in their advertising! J Alexander's and Makayla together take a great place to eat into the PERFECT place to relax, conduct business, and to create ever-lasting family memories!
