If you’re going to Jamestown, this free ferry ride is a must. Drive your car on and enjoy the cruise then drive off turn around ( if you need to) and cruise right back where you started. Best time is early mornings, little to no wait time, after 10 am your wait time can get lengthy. But still worth the trip. Beautiful sites to see.

I still can't believe it is free. Two ferries were running, we got on immediately the first time, return trip we just missed it, had to wait about 20 minutes. There is a schedule online that you can check for when it is going, so you don't waste any time. Kids used the bathrooms which were cleaned. It was a nice fun way to cut some time out of the driveway around. A ton of birds follow the ships, and lots of people fed them.

Beautiful 15 min free ride. Get our of your vehicle and enjoy the breeze. Bring bread or crackers and the seagulls will take them right from your fingers. BUT..... feed them on the back if the boat so they don't get in the Captain's view.

Really neat experience, free, comfortable ride, felt safe the entire time. Kids absolutely loved it. Once the ferry starts moving you can get out of your vehicle and walk around. Jamestown side is right out side of the National Park.

I love this beautiful ride. This has been apart of my childhood. I have passed it down to my children and I'm sure they will do the same. Breathtaking no matter what the season.
