Not that great. Umi Sushi is better.

I walked in and was like "do you guys have good sushi?" And they were like heck yeah! Then it began, it felt as if i were a (nice) great white shark swiming through a world of beautiful fish offering themselves to my ever so hungry appetite. By time i was done i was like a whale that had just beached. Thank you Kazan Thank you.

My basketball club was traveling home from the bay and was craving Japanese Food. We found Kazan through Yelp, which had great reviews. To our surprise we got so much ATTITUDE from the Hostess Jean, we were a large party of 18 and she seemed annoyed that we were there. Then when she sat us down, she served us drinks in red cups. We merely asked why no glasses and again her negative attitude came out. So we all decided we were not going to support this business and we all walked out. As we were leaving she was telling the other customers that we were unhappy because of the Red cups, she was clueless of her Negative Attitude. So sorry I can't give you a rating on the food. I hope she realizes and changes for the better.

I've come here for years because they have my favorite roll. I've brought many friends and family here, introducing them to Kazan, a restaurant we all frequent at now. We've experienced good customer service and more than often bad customer service but today was the worst EVER. It was my sister`s birthday. A 20 minute wait to be seated turned into 50. Service was garbage then 2 hours into this crappy experience, we're told no credit/debt cards "I hope you have enough cash or checks". Our bill was about $120 and we only had $100 in cash. The manager/owner apologized for the terrible service but claim none of it was their fault because they were "too busy" and there was nothing she could do to help, but suggested I bring the rest of the money later. We won't be coming back, not just because of this, but because overall their service sucks. And the birthday girl ended up writing a check for her dinner :-(

Best Sushi restaurant I've been to. My partner and I eat here about once a week. My nephew drives down from Grass Valley to eat here. I especially like the service. The waitress knows what I want even when I don't. I wish I could give them 10 stars.
