Kobe Japan Restaurant

I came here with my sister and her family, we had an awesome time. We were seated with two other couples, our group was a larger group of 5. The place is pretty loud obviously, but the server was patient with us as we all had her repeat herself many times, poor thing. The chef's name I believe was Ken. He was very entertaining and charismatic. I can imagine it might get old cooking many of the same things over and over, performing the same tricks and routine over and over each shift. Ken seemed like he was actually enjoying himself and we all had more fun because of it. He was totally funny, too, besides the normal cheesy jokes. Food was bomb dot com and the mango margarita we got was amazing. Definitely will go again when I'm in the area.

The sushi was good. The decor is a little odd here. We got happy hour cocktails and they tasted like kids juice boxes mixed with cheap alcohol. We asked over and over for no onions. Our miso came out with onions and then a roll came out too with onions. The salad dressing was not the sesame ginger but an orange mainly ginger dressing, which was not good.

Ordered food and drink at the sushi bar. 15 minutes later, they brought me someone else's drink. Another 15 minutes, the drink I ordered showed up. About 20 minutes later, the sushi chef asked if we were going to order any food. I told him we had ordered when we first arrived. He said something to the server that took our order, and she said that she just didn't have time to enter it yet. The restaurant was almost empty, and the servers were all just hanging out by the bar. We left, and will not return. This restraint was amazing when it first opened. But in the past 6 months, it's been going steadily downhill.

Took my family to eat. Was seated Right away and had a lovely chef who when realized my daughter who is 1 years old didn't like the flames kept the show minimal to ease her fears. Really great food. Always do gluten free for me.

Not impressed. No one at our table really enjoyed their plate except for my son. Just one out of six. We expect to the much better for the price we paid. The servers were not very attentive and they seemed a bit confused.
