Kyoto Palace Japanese Steakhouse

We really enjoyed this place. The food and the service were wonderful. I was slightly concerned because I saw reviews saying the food was salty and not good. However, they must take the critiques seriously because if anything, our food was slightly under salted... but still delicious! Our server, David, was on top of everything. Will CERTAINLY return again!

Went there during brunch time and the place smelled like actual poop and there were a bunch of waiters just sitting at the table in the corner just chilling like they are on spring vacation. Gross. Also, every time I have gone the food is mediocre at best. The chefs are really cool to watch but the only good tasting thing is their fried rice. Everything else is just eh. Don't waste your money here. Go elsewhere.

Steak, no flavor, no salt and pepper, chicken overdone. The worst: we had reservations but, were shuffled to the bar for 45 min. Finally, got hungry and thirsty. Bar tab for 12, $93. Dingy digs, old, no ventilation in back half of room. Too much attention to pretty girls in party not enough to cooking the food. Overly expensive even for chicken, I counted 9 pieces of 1/2" diced chicken and it was dry and tasteless, $23, drinks (green tea) charged for refills. Don't waste your money. Try House of Genji, way, way better.

Delicious, but loud! Not a good place for conversation, even between two people next to each other. The hibachi was awesome, and that aspect is highly recommended. I would return again for the food. I wouldn't bring people here unless you know them well, because it's very hard to communicate between the grills, hibachi, and the loud conversations of many other customers in a crowded atmosphere, even on a weekday evening.
