Shirasoni

Always popular, last Wednesday was no exception. We sat at the bar to avoid waiting for a table and that worked put well as it has in the past. The bartenders tend to be very experienced and good at their job which always helps. We started with the ahi poke salad which was totally different to that served to the person seated next to me. She had large pieces of tuna and ours were 1/2 I cubes at best. Still tasty but we have noticed inconsistencies in the past with sushi rolls in particular. It seems to depend who is on duty as chef. The tiger roll was exactly as expected and delicious. The other roll was exactly as described but a little too much cream cheese for my taste. Wednesday happened to be a happy hour day. The house red wine at $4 was local and actually pretty good. We are into wines so consider that a somewhat informed recommendation.

We love Shirasoni. They have great tasting food and a great staff. We enjoy the grill cooking show and the leftovers for the next days lunch. We recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. For us, we have gotten to know many of the staff, and have made this one of our regular dining places.

Shirasoni is hands-down the best restaurant in East County. Two years in a row we have had her birthday celebration there. I thought last year wouldn't be topped , I was wrong because our server Adriana was extremely patient with our large party. Service was excellent food fantastic atmosphere exciting

The bartender was so cool, I got food on time and we got free sushi because there was extra. Best birthday I've had in a while.

As long as you enjoy some humorous hibachi entertainment and onion volcanoes, you'll enjoy this place. Good variety of dishes and a large variety of drinks. I would go back to catch some more broccoli from across the table.
