My Dads best friend went with this company, straight to the point he was not happy and had to cancel. Some of their employees now work for us and from what they have told us that this company has let go most of their employees, they are now down to a skeleton crew. Many of the employees that got let go have not been given their last paycheck. The employees that are still with the company they’ve fallen behind on payroll. They owe vendors tons of money and most of there vendors have stopped doing business with this company. If you should decide to give them your business be warned, they will be happy to take your money but will fall flat at delivering your product. This is a warning to everyone who considers buying solar from this company.

The primary reason I went with Legend is because they were the only ones I could find who would put their production guarantee in writing (which promises to pay the difference each year if I get less output). Unfortunately, I can't get them to pay it. The first year my system generated just 9,308 kWh, far less than the 12,337 kWh in my guarantee. For 5 months now I have been trying to get Legend to pay me the difference. A customer service rep told me three months ago it was approved by accounting, but I've never seen anything. And I haven't been able to get anyone to respond since. The territory manager won't return my calls. I've even sent an email and letter to the company president, with no response. UPDATE - After I posted this review I also filed a complaint about this with the Better Business Bureau. A day after I filed my BBB complaint I heard back from Legend, and they sent me my check immediately. I wish I didn't have to go through that much trouble to get it, but I'm glad they finally sent it. They then followed up with a six-month review of my system, which I appreciated.

The owners should have learned how to run a successful business before having one in their hands; if they had, they might be sitting pretty, but unfortunately they haven't paid a single dime of the 10 million they promised to pay for the renovations for the local university's football stadium. Shame.

I am in South Jordan Utah The only reason I gave the company a 2 is because the system is working great. However, I would steer everyone away from the company. The sales department was very good. However, it all went down hill from there. I had nothing but problems from having my home hit by the delivery truck, to changing the install date, and lack of communication from the install department all the way to the owners. They don't care about their customers. STAY CLEAR

I'm giving this company a glowing 1 star review. I am an ex-employee who got let go on December 14th 2017. I have been following the fallout of this company on many news sites. My review is my own personal opinion and I will also be commenting on the information that has already been shared on websites such as EarthFix/OPB, St. George News, and the Salt Lake Tribune. I can vouch for many of the things that is said in those news articles, especially about the part when it comes to money mismanagement. Shaun Alldredge, the co-owner of this company was quoted in EarthFix/OPB article “You’ve got a lot of people that do not have the information to even be telling you things like that. They don’t even know what in the hell they’re talking about. No, there is no Ponzi scheme,” I take a personal issue with his comment, why haven't you followed up with your customers? Your suppliers? Your ex-employees? To mention the 3-5 dozen employees that got laid off out of the blue on December 14th 2017 without their last paycheck, and a dozen more in January 2018 without their last paychecks. The owners as far as I am aware of have offered no apology, no statement to their ex-employees. To make matters worse a lot of people who rely on their paycheck had to cancel their Christmas plans, and or to make other arrangements, lots of employees got screwed over. As for the customers, the same can also be said for they were hoping to get installed by the end of the year so that they can get their state and federal tax rebates. To the owners’ partial credits, they did send an email out apologizing to some of their customers about their cash flow problem. But they still haven't apologized to many of their employees that they screwed over in December and in January. Also their head of Human Resource got fed up and I’m under the assumption she walked out, our line of communication with the company ended there. Utah regulators are seeking to revoke Legend Solar business license as of March 2018. They already had their license revoked in Oregon and in Nevada, yet their website still operates as if nothing has happened. SunPower who manufactures and sells solar panels ended their deal with Legend Solar, more on that later. Salt Lake Tribune breaks the story that Dixie State University ended their deal with Legend Solar for the naming rights to the universities football stadium. Shane Perkins the co-owner of Legend Solar stated that the split was amicable, so that can focus their resources on their customers. Even though I am no longer employed by Legend I still get their customers calling me on my personal phone about their install, or how they can get a refund or question in regards to their state tax rebates. All because they can’t get a hold of anyone at Legend Solar, they don't even get a courtesy return call. Yet Shane Perkins said he's committed to focusing the company’s resources to taking care of their customer backlog of installs. Yet again their customers are still reaching out to me? As well as to other ex-Legend Solar employees that didn't change their phone numbers. With that in regards many ex-Legend employees had to change their personal phone numbers because they kept getting harassed by the customers that Legend left hanging, and yet the company says its committed to fulfilling the back log of installs. Unfortunately, St. George News in their news article said that SunPower will no longer be selling solar panels to Legend, to quote from the news article that SunPower had to say,"citing expectations for its affiliates to show honesty in their business dealings." Legend Solar almost deals exclusively with SunPower for their solar panels and that goes to show that not even a solar panel manufacture was going to let Legend ruin their good honest name. Do your research, don't go with this company, don't buy from them, and don't work for them!
