This is an amazingly beautiful park. The rangers are super helpful and knowledgeable. The river is truly a gem and allows for all levels of boater skill. If you feel like some professional help may be needed to navigate the river there's 4 company's that will gladly take care of you. My personal favorite is Pocono whitewater. They have over 40 years of experience in the park. There really isn't better whitewater closer to Philly and NYC.

The trails at the park have been longtime favorites. The scenery cannot go unnoticed for its beauty, flat paths leading through mile after mile of limestone mountain covered in pine and laurel so think you can get list in it if you stray too far. The river flied by to right of left depending on which way you go (Rockport entrance), its sound sometimes roaring as the water the color of wet slate topped by white crests hurtled over submerged obstacles. Other times, it burbles calm and sweetly flowing ever southward. In quiet days when few humans are afoot (or astride), birdsong competes for attention, the wind soughing through the trees like lover's whispers.
You can't beat what's on offer here.

This the typical takeout point for whitewater rafting trips down the Lehigh River. It is very exhilarating experience, depending on when you decide to go. This park features, rafting, fishing, picnicking, hiking and biking and many other outdoor experiences for families, friends or even on your own. It has a old railroad bed that has been improved for walking, jogging and lots of other activities. It is beautiful anytime of the year you go and there are super opportunities for amateur and professional photo taking for whatever suits your style. Have a blast we have had many here.

Beautiful, challenging trail along Glen Onoko Falls. The Falls trail is steep and has several scenic overlooks. Take the easier Lehigh Gorge Overlook Trail back down to the parking lot for a 3.7 mile loop. Tons of easy parking and a restroom (with composting toilets) available at the start of the trail. Near the last gravel parking lot there's also access to Turn Hole Tunnel, an abandoned train tunnel once past of the Lehigh/Susquehanna RR.

One of the best sections of the D&L trail accessible from glen onoko trail head. Train tracks on one side and river on the other, this trail is always kept in good shape for biking, walking and running. Hike to the falls on separate trail is not to be missed. Love this place. Running races held there, too.
