If this big bully utility company gives you any problems, call the Public Utilities Commission.
I was falsely accused of illegally reconnecting my electric meter when, in fact, the lazy meter guy never turned the meter off. I called customer service repeatedly and made multiple visits to this location trying to get this figured out. I have never had such offensive customer service in my life. While at this location LG&E had the nerve to tell me I had committed a criminal act and they had all the "proof" they needed, yet the only "proof" was the lazy technicians notes claiming he made the disconnection. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was no supervisor or manager and unless I agreed to "meter tampering" and paid a fine of 70$, I wouldn't have my electric back.
I begged the sassy Spanish lady to please escalate this issue or forward it to someone that could at least be made aware of the situation. All I got was a Big. Fat. "NO".
There was literally nothing I could do.
I paid the fine and went home to meet the LG&E gas connection guy. When I got home I got a note on the door saying there was no one home so I won't get hot water or heat today. Seriously??? I just left the office!!
8 days prior to all of this, Louisville Gas & Electric had accepted $200 in chairty donations posted to my account. In agreement to taking chairty money, LG&E can't turn off your services for 30 days. Yet 8 days later, money hungry LG&E did it anyway and held my electric ransom for $70 plus me agreeing to "meter tampering".
So I called the Public Utilities Commission and they took this matter very seriously. More seriously than even I thought it was. A few days later I received an official apology from two corporate offices of LG&E and was refunded the $70 criminal fine.
Words could never fully describe my experience and unfortunately I am not the only person being bullied by this company. I hope my story can help other struggling families who might feel they have nowhere to turn.
And as for the ridiculous sassy customer service lady that this location employs: I BEAT YOU!

I'll give them 1 🌟 for service and 10 🌟's for the gameplay. If I could invest I would, because they win everytime.
When it comes to LG&E I'm a HOE, they stay pimping my pockets.

Jennifer was such a big help!!! So polite, did not keep me on hold, and she was quick! She deserves a raise she is literally the nicest person i've spoken to on the phone at lg&e

Too bad LG&E is a monopoly because I would ditch them asap if I could. One of their managers Shallita spoke with me today and didn't even apologize for the terrible service they have given me. She said she was "sorry for how I was taking the news" and I asked her to be genuine but she could not. The problem was that my transfer date was on July 1 and they charged me through July 5th making my bill way more than expected and I was not notified. I received an email from them saying that they were on holiday and that on July 3rd they just "didn't have time" to get to my order to process it. What kind of managers are running this place to not know how to apologize to the customer and correct their flaw? Shallita did nothing to help the situation and instead tried to put it on me saying that they have a three day processing period so I should be okay with it... I'm sorry Shallita, I'm not okay with paying extra because your team can't handle the workload you give them, maybe it's time you are replaced.
